How to alter account head or ledger in tally erp9

what is alteration of account heads?

Alteration of account head is as the name said "altering or changing".

IF you made a wrong input in account head and after creation you came to know that
you had made a wrong,then you need to correct it.In that situation you can use "ALTER"option
to change  the wrong one and correct it.

Here alteration is whatever it may be account heads name spelling,assigned group ect.

you want to change account head name or change the assigned group follow these steps:

1)Open tally

2)Select the name of the company in which you want to do corrections.

3)Select account info

4)select ledgers

 here you can alter ledgers in two ways

    *by using single ledger option and
    *by using multiple ledger option.

select as your requirement.

5)Then select ALTER"

6)You will see list of all account heads you created.

7)select the account head you want to correct and click on it.

   change whatever you need.finally enter "yes"

   Thats it.

   your account head successfully altered.
